Meet Dr. Ellis
I honestly feel that I work in one of the greatest professions. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. Being able to share the gift of a beautiful smile, and watching as my patients grow in confidence and self-esteem is truly one of the most rewarding experiences.
Before becoming an orthodontist, I attended Virginia Tech for my undergraduate education, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry, as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Biology. I continued on to Virginia Commonwealth University's Medical College of Virginia, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. My specialty residency and certificate of orthodontics were completed at the University of Missouri School of Dentistry in Kansas City.
As an orthodontist, I am dedicated to participating in continuing education opportunities that help me stay at the forefront of the orthodontic industry. Providing my patients with the highest quality care and making sure that they have a comfortable, fun experience is my top priority. I am a member of several orthodontic organizations, including the:
- American Association of Orthodontists Foundation
- Virginia Millennium Society
- Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity
In addition to practicing orthodontics in this community, I also enjoy giving back to the community by sponsoring many local activities ranging from sports teams to band events. I try to never say no to support one of my patients and their passions when it comes to raising money for their cause.
I have lived in northern Virginia since 1993. My wonderful wife, Bita, and I have two beautiful young children, Kaitlyn and Austin, who I can't spend enough time with. When I have free time I enjoy working out, I love playing golf, and I am an avid sports enthusiast. I am also a huge Virginia Tech Hokie fan, and it's turned into a real obsession!
