Working in the orthodontic field has been a great career for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with so many wonderful people through the years. It has given me the opportunity to meet some very fascinating people and forge some long-lasting friendships. So many patients thank me for what I have been able to give to them; I just hope they know how much they all give back to me as well.

Before becoming an orthodontist, I spent some time serving in the United States Navy. I then went on to receive my Bachelor of Arts and science degree from Boston College in 1964. I continued on to Loyola University in Chicago, earning my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1968. My master's degree in orthodontics was completed at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, in 1972, and I set up my first practice in Annandale shortly thereafter.

Practicing for almost four decades has allowed me to see trends come and go in orthodontics. I know what works and what doesn't, allowing me to keep things simple and create magnificent results. Keeping up with advanced technology is still very important and I continue my education through attending lectures and seminars annually. I am also a member and lecturer for the Northern Virginia Academy of Clinical Dentistry, as well as having taught at Georgetown University. For 15 years, I was honored to be recognized in Washingtonian Magazine as one of Northern Virginia’s top orthodontists.

I am originally from the greater Boston area and have lived in Fairfax Station, VA, since 1979. I am married to my beautiful wife, Cyndy, and we have six grown children, Erik, Sean, Lance, Colleen, Chris, and Jason. I have been blessed with four amazing grandchildren, Sara, Eliza, Max, and Jack. When I have free time I enjoy riding my Soft-Tailed Harley, especially during DC's Rolling Thunder event, hunting, fishing, and scuba diving. I am also the lead pilot in air shows around the country and fly my Chinese Fighter Plane in acrobatic formations.
